BITHYNIA, Apamea. Marcus Aurelius. As Caesar, AD 139-161. Æ 30mm (16.71 g, 6h). M AVRELI[V]S CΛES ΛVG [...] P • F, youthful bare-headed and draped bust right right / DIΛNΛE LVCIF • ΛUG • CIC Λ D D, Artemis Phosphorus, holding torch in each hand, in biga drawn by stags right. Unpublished in the standard references, but cf. RG 48 (for obv. type). Good VF, brown patina, some areas of smoothing. Struck in high relief with dies of fine style. Extremely rare reverse type for this city.
